¶Passed the railroad labor bill by vote of 69 to 13 (see LABOR). (Bill went to the President.)

¶Passed with amendments the McFadden bill, which would permit national banks to establish branches if state banks in their neighborhood have the same privilege. (Bill went to joint conference.)

¶Passed bills creating Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky, Shenandoah National Park in Virginia, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in North Carolina and Tennessee, by unanimous consent. (Bills went to the House.)
