¶ With the rank of Envoy Extraordinary, the American Minister to Persia, Hoffman Philip, was delegated to appear at the coronation of Reza Shah Pahlevi, on April 25, as the personal representative of His Excellency, the President of the U. S. Brigadier General Harry A. Smith will travel to Persia for the event as representative of the Department of State.
