The Press: Eternity?

The New York World began on Feb. 20 to publish the picture of Harry M. Daugherty with the meaning caption "STILL IN OFFICE." Every morning the World repeated the performance until Mr. Daugherty resigned, 38 days later.

What would the World have done if Mr. Daugherty had not resigned? Would it have continued to publish the Attorney General's picture until his death? Until the World's decease? To eternity?
