Sport: Kentucky Derby

Every year there is some horse which, more than another, stirs the imagination. One year it was Morvich. Last Spring it was Messenger— he was so good-looking. This year it is Sarazen, who carries the bold colors of Mrs. William K. Vanderbilt II.

Sarazen, named for the golfer, started ten times last season and won ten races. Never did he seem to be hard pushed, for he always ran pricking and wagging his ears. Therefore he is, with good reason, favorite at 5 to 1, for the Kentucky Derby on May 17.
