Music: Critics Enraged

In Carnegie Hall, Manhattan, Vladimir de Pachmann, famed Russian pianist, aged 75 (TIME, Sept. 10), gave a recital on the pianoforte —his first in America in twelve years. Standees packed the parquet five deep.
