My overriding feeling about the death of john peel, the British broadcaster who passed away last week at the age of 65, is that I never found the chance to thank him properly. John made a huge difference to my life. I imagine that all over Britain there are musicians and not only musicians thinking much the same thing. It's quite possible that without John, I wouldn't have made a career of music.
