Medicine: Not for $1

Most of the 4,000 doctors who do business on Manhattan Island, where they have the richest and poorest people in the world for patients, last week refused to entertain a suggestion to charge only $1 for office calls, $2 for tenement calls. Their average charge now is $5 for office, $10 for apartment calls. As for patients who cannot afford $5 and $10 fees, the Manhattan doctors whom Dr. Daniel S.
