In speed, dependability, frequency of schedules, U. S. airlines far surpass those of other countries, as all the world knows. Last week United Air Lines made public a survey showing that U. S. air travel also costs less. Average fare: 6¢ per mi.; average fare in Europe: 8½¢ per mi.
