With him sat his trusty First Counselor, pudding-jowled Joshua Reuben Clark Jr., one-time U. S. Ambassador to Mexico; his potent Presiding Bishop, rangy Sylvester Q. Cannon; his Eastern representative, Don Byron Colton, longtime U. S. Representative from Utah.
