Still tinkering with the academic intricacies of entrance requirements last week were the old sea dogs who rule the U. S. Naval Academy at Annapolis. Once every would-be midshipman had to jump the hurdle of stiff examinations in six subjects. A decade ago all bars were dropped for appointees with high or preparatory school diplomas.
