Three months ago in Washington. Wisconsin's Representative Raymond J. Cannon bumped a taxi. Out of the taxi stepped three members of the New York Stock Exchange: its onetime President Edward Henry Harriman Simmons, with an injured shoulder; its Governor Herbert G. Wellington, with a cut lip; its Vice President Allen Ledyard Lindley, badly shaken. Total damage, as estimated by Bumper Cannon: "Trivial."
