National Affairs: Back to Boulder

From time out of memory the Colorado River canyon in which the Government today is building the world's biggest dam was called Boulder. In 1930 Secretary of the Interior Ray Lyman Wilbur, as a gesture to his President and old friend, renamed canyon and dam Hoover. Last week Secretary of the Interior Harold Le Clair Ickes issued orders that hereafter the project is to be called Boulder.
