¶ Passed (289-10-121) a Senate resolution to repeal the 18th Amendment; sent it to the States for ratification (see p. n). ¶ Passed the District of Columbia appropriation bill.

¶ Approved the conference report on the Interior Department appropriation bill; sent it to the President. ¶ Held a memorial service for the two Senators and eight Representatives who died within the year.

The Senate:
