With a great swearing of oaths, blaring of bands and outpouring of orations, a fresh crop of governors last week began taking office throughout the Nation. Last year 35 states held gubernatorial elections through which ran the same Democratic tidal wave that swept Franklin Delano Roosevelt to the White House.
