Best performance by an actress: Helen Hayes (The Sin of Madelon Claudet).

Best directing: Frank Borzage (Bad Girl).

Best original story: Frances Marion (The Champ).

Best photography: Lee Garmes (Shanghai Express).

Best art direction: Gordon Wiles (Transatlantic).
