Fortnight ago Kentucky's Senator Barkley, as temporary chairman of the Chicago convention, wrote Speaker Garner a letter in which he notified him of his nomination for the Vice-Presidency. Last week Speaker Garner wrote Senator Barkley a letter in which he accepted the nomination. The whole ceremony cost two 3¢ postage stamps.
