Faced by a dilemmato balance or not to balance the Italian budgetlast week His Excellency Finance Minister Antonio Mosconi addressed the Chamber of Deputies thus:
"Taxation has limits which it is dangerous to pass. Italy will not balance her budget this year but will make a wise and temporary sacrifice of principle to aid the people and Italian industry."
There being no Opposition Party in the Chamber of Deputies, nobody questioned Signor Mosconi but he volunteered that "while the current deficit of $111,000,000 is continuing, nevertheless the next one will be only $74,000,000,...
