Gorillas are often less hairy than men, Professor Adolph Hans Schultz of
Johns Hopkins reported last week. By personal count he found that men
averaged 312 hairs on each square centimeter of scalp, 9 per sq. cm. of
chest; gorillas 4.5 of chest, 307 of scalp. This indicated that clothes
have not marred the human pelt.
