Aeronautics: Flights of the week, Sep. 14, 1931

Transpacific. After months of effort Don Moyle and C. A. Allen, Californians, got their City of Tacoma off Sabishiro Airport, Japan; started for Seattle, $75,000 rewards and, for Flyer Moyle, a 30-day Los Angeles jail sentence for driving a motor car while drunk.

Transatlantic— The Graf Zeppelin returned to Friedrichshafen non-stop from Pernambuco.

Intercontinental. The Gronland-Wal with Captain Wolfgang von Gronau and three companions reached Chicago, its goal from Germany via the Arctic.
