One reason why some intense persons settle in Palestine is that any citizen. Gentile, Jew or Mohammedan, can legally take several wives.
But in Jerusalem last week the commission now examining Palestine criminal law with a view to its revision recommended that:
In future the practice of polygamy in Palestine will be permitted only to persons whose religion sanctions it.
Another recommendation: Strike "premeditated murder" from the list of old Palestine crimes, replace it by two new ones: "ordinary murder" and "man-slaughter."
