National Affairs: Know-Nothing

The Anti-Saloon League of New Jersey arranged to have Inventor Thomas Alva Edison, at a future date, answer six questions anent Prohibition. Last week Mr. Edison declared: "[Senator Dwight Whitney] Morrow knows nothing of the business and industrial world. For many years he has been cooped up in an office, away from the workingman. When he demands Repeal he doesn't know what he's talking about. . . . Prohibition is eternally correct. And even if the 18th Amendment is lost, the people will battle for it."
