Medicine: Hiccougher

In Mt. Clemens, Mich, last week Virginia Mae Coppins, 19, died after hiccoughing for long and frequent intervals for more than a year. Last June when the American Medical Association met at Detroit, 5,000 physicians filed into Miss Coppins' room to view the phenomenon, could not help her. A man drove from Cleveland by taxicab with a useless "cure." Heart failure caused by the long hiccoughing was the eventual cause of her death.
