In the valley city of Bristol, England, last fortnight, 3,000 scientists from 20 countries attended the annual meeting of the British Association for the Advancement of Science. They had much to accomplish in their week together. Next year the "British Ass" celebrates its centenary at London. Elaborate plans were made for the entertainment and enlightenment of the thousands who will attend.
