CONGRESS: The House Week Jul. 14, 1930

Work Done. The House of Representatives last week:

¶ Accepted the conference report on the bill authorizing the President to unify all Federal agencies dealing with Veterans of U. S. wars; sent it to the President.

¶ Passed two bills to aid unemployment: 1) providing advance planning of public works, 2) providing for employment statistics.

¶ Passed a bill forbidding power developments and lumber cutting in the Superior National Forest, Minn.

¶ Suspended its rules to vote the National Law Enforcement Commission $250,000 in the second deficiency bill conference report.

¶ Adjourned sine die.
