Spinsters and matrons of the Berlin Federation of Women's Clubs arrived last week at a conclusion of international significance: "when an unmarried woman has passed a certain age it is invidious to call her Fräulein or Miss."
In a resolution passed by the Federation and despatched to bachelor Minister of Interior Joseph K. Wirth the German Government is requested "hereafter to designate all women, irrespective of their condition, as Frau [Mrs.] in all official documents and authorized parlance."
