Last week a new member was appointed to the defense committee of the U. S. Polo Association—Thomas Hitchcock Sr. His famed son, Thomas Jr., captain of the yet unpicked international team and chief of the defense committee, asked his father to help him because they get on well together and because Thomas Hitchcock Sr. is good at the sort of thing he will do for the committee.
