In Mitchellsburg, Ky., 51 years ago, a dying lady received a sweet potato from her husband. Unable to eat it, she placed the sweet potato on a shelf.

Last week the lady's daughter, Mrs. Samuel Ward, investigated the potato, discovered it was petrified.
