His brother, Dr. Richard Clarke Cabot, four years older, is a professor at the Harvard Medical School. Philip's twin, Dr. Hugh, taught at the Harvard Medical School from 1910 to 1918. In 1919 he became Professor of Surgery at the University of Michigan, was made the school's Dean two years later.
