For the first time in U. S. history, a President motored from the White House to his office. Reason: Washington's 12-in. snowfall last week. Rather than slog through the drifts from the White House to his office in the State, War & Navy building, just across the side street, President Hoover entered his limousine, drove circuitously around the block.
