Invasion.

Alarmists who view the Royal Dutch Shell's U. S. expansion as "invasion" last week had cause for excitement. By taking over operation of the Penn Oil Co.'s 65 service stations in the District of Columbia, Shell occupied the U. S. capital.

Steel-Cement. Building contractors who go shopping for steel usually also have to go shopping for cement. Last week United States Steel Corp. offered to exchange some $31,000,000 of its stock for Atlas Portland Cement Co. which produces 19,000,000 barrels a year.
