POLITICAL NOTES: Shrewd

If a man knew Herbert Hoover passingly or better, how might he take advantage of Mr. Hoover's inauguration to acquire publicity for himself? One way might be to take two simple steps, as follows:

1) Get hold of the official list of 300 bigwigs specially invited by Mr. Hoover to sit on the main platform at the ceremonies on March 4.

2) Write a letter to each bigwig saying: "You will receive in a few days an official invitation. . . . Only about 300 of these are being issued to distinguished people. . ....
