The Westminister Kennel Club's show brought 5,000 people to Madison Square Garden, Manhattan, to watch with gentle excitement the final judgment among the following dogs:
Midkiff Miracle Man, Cocker Spaniel, best of the sporting dogs.
Dolf von Dusternbrook, German Shepherd, best of the beagles, bassets, bloodhounds, wolfhounds, foxhounds, setters.
Glen Iris Dal Dream, Pekingese, best of the toys.
Greenacre Li Ping Tow, chowchow, best of the chows.
Barberryhill Bootlegger, sealyham, best of the terriers.
Glen Iris took 577 steps to cross the judging ring. Dolf von Dusternbrook took 27.
