Having last fortnight (TIME, May 6) established a U. S. branch, Germany's I. G. Farbenindustrie last week strengthened its international position by adding the Swiss chemical industry to the European chemical cartel. For, though I. G. Dyes is not the entire German chemical industry, it does occupy a dominant position in its field, and growth of the cartel is reflected in prosperity at Frankfort.
