Snooping around the world for candidates for this year's Nobel Peace Prize, Stockholm authorities named an Englishman—Lieutenant General Sir Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell, founder of the Boy Scout and the Girl Guide movements. His and probably others' names will go before a committee of Storting (Parliament), which alone is empowered to make the final award.
Last summer Sir Robert attended the Boy Scout Jamboree, in honor of the 15th anniversary of Swedish scouting, in which 3,000 boy scouts took part.
