At annual conventions of the Episcopal Diocese of New York previous to the 144th convention last week, priests and laymen used to rise in courtesy to every woman who spoke'. The custom was as bothersome as seems to many men their rising in a cinema show every time the U. S. flag appears in a newsreel. Last week Bishop William T.
