The manager of the United Cigar store at Broadway and Wall Street, Manhattan, made the Street men chuckle last week. In his window he displayed a number of chunky, fat cigars two inches in diameter, 15 inches in length. "For conferences," said he. It would take a strong man a full evening to smoke out one of them provided he could keep his mouth stretched over its butt that long. The prices to Wall Street men were $6 to $8 a cigar.
