A tall, lean man stands up before the Pennsylvania legislature. He is 61 and something of a fighter. His name is Gifford Pinchot (although the late Senator Boies Penrose once suggested that it be changed to "Pin-shot"). He is Governor of Pennsylvania and he is reading his farewell message.
