Last week Thomas Walter Swan, Dean of the Yale Law School since 1916, announced that he would accept President Coolidge's appointment as Judge of the U. S. Circuit Court of Appeals, Second District (Connecticut, New York, Vermont). He succeeds the late Henry Wade Rogers, who was Dean of Law at Yale (1903-16) until his own appointment as judge.
