A dark, massive, earnest man, stalwart and commanding, arrived at Brussels last week, and established himself with a few faithful retainers in cheap and modest quarters.

His cause seems lost. He is Peter Nicholaievich, Baron Wrangel, the last hope of the "White" Tsarist Russian emigrés.
