At the snug Empire Theatre, Fred and Adele Astaire delighted Royalty with that song and dance, Lady Be Good. Next evening Miss Jane Cowl brazened before the grandson of super purist Queen Victoria, in Easy Virtue. From the King-Emperor's vocal chords there issued not, last week, the baleful rebuke with which his grandmama blasted all questionable jests (even one cracked precociously in infancy by the present Edward of Wales) : "We are not amused!"...
