With the advent of ice and snow, more public interest in the anthracite coal strike is probable.

So far the strike has kept completely out of the headlines. Citizens are apparently apathetic to it. The Federal Government balks at attempting to take over and rim the hard coal industry; and short of such a step its intervention in the strike would be of doubtful practical value.
