The Legislative Week The Senate:

¶ Considered in executive session the nomination of Attorney General Stone to be a Justice of the Supreme Court, but deferred action by sending the nomination back to committee.

¶ Approved a joint resolution requesting the Interstate Commerce Commission to make an inquiry into freight rates with a view to adjusting them in such a manner as to relieve the basic industry of agriculture.

¶ Ratified a treaty with Great Britain for the extradition from Canada of narcotic law violators.
