The Vice President-elect was once (1897-1902) Comptroller of the Currency. His brother Henry M. Dawes now holds that post and has for 18 months. Another brother, Beman G. Dawes, is President of the Pure Oil Company. The Dawes's are to be shuffled again. Henry M. offered his resignation to the President last week. He is to take the Pure Oil presidency, and Beman is to be Chairman of the Board of Directors.
