MacLaren, British flier, half way across India last week, was forced down in Rajputana. His engine was so damaged that he needed three days before going on. The American world fliers were at Dutch Harbor in the Aleutian Islands, awaiting Commander F. L. Martin who was still at Chignik, the last stopping-point on the American continent. They have travelled a few hundred miles less than MacLaren, but they have almost covered the worst part of their itinerary and will now head to milder, southern climes. MacLaren's worst troubles are yet to be.
