More than 40,000 drawings by children in all parts of the U. S. were
examined in a test of the artistic impulses of children between three
and four years of age by Miss Stella McCarty, associate professor of
education in Goucher College, Baltimore. At this age, she concluded,
children have little or no sense of proportion or perspective.
