Paul W. Litchfield, president of Good-year-Zeppelin Corp., last week called on President Hoover to ask whether the U. S. would look with favor on granting a contract to carry mail by Zeppelin from California to Honolulu. Evidently the President's reply was favorable, for Mr. Litchfield announced plans for constructing two giant dirigibles twice the size of (he Graf Zeppelin.
