Business: Near-Panic

"As was indicated in last month's report, should the present estimate of production be released and past relations between supply and price prevail, it is likely that prices will decline the next few months."

These words at the conclusion of the U. S. Bureau of Agricultural Economic's report on cotton for September last week caused a near- panic on the cotton exchanges (see p. 9.)
