First prize ($2,000) in the International Chess Masters' Tournament was awarded to Jose R. Capablanca, Havana; second ($1,500) to Dr. Alexander Alekhine, Paris; third ($1,000) to Aron Nimzowitch, Copenhagen. Frank J. Marshall, New York, lone U. S. entry, had continuous difficulty with his cerebellum; finished last among the careful movers.
