William T. Tilden, tall tennis player, met youthful George Lott Jr., University of Chicago student, in the finals of a relatively unimportant Halifax championship, at Ormond Beach, Fla. Tilden sharply rebuked his opponent for juggling balls before serving; strenuously objected to having idle balls removed from the court; succeeded in losing good wishes of the entire gallery. He also lost the match to his 20-year old adversary, 3-6, 6-0, 5-7, 3-6.
