From commandant of the Battle Fleet, Admiral Charles Frederick Hughes will
be advanced to Commander-in-Chief of the U. S. Fleet, on Sept. 4,
succeeding his brother-in-law, Admiral Samuel Shelburne
Robinson. (Both married daughters of the late Rear Admiral C. K. Clark.)
Vice Admiral Richard Harrison Jackson will succeed Admiral Hughes as
Commander of the Battle tle Fleet.
